Restored for a customer during 2019 this 1965 Alfa Romeo Spring GT arrived to DV Mechanics with a mediocre paint job and restoration that was probably done sometime in the late 90’s. Despite having a poor previous restoration, the chassis and general condition of the parts on this car was quite good so the new owner elected to have us partially dis-assemble the car and prep it for a complete paint job in Alfa Red. We choose to remove the engine, doors, trunk, hood along with everything associated with it for the sake of being thorough. Before getting painted it was given a GTA appearance make over where we modified the front nose panel, doors and rear to mimic the GTA Corsa. After coming back from paint it was treated to a full suspension make over along with fully polished trim, new wheels and tires, and complete interior restoration using Veloce seats and a long list of other minor modifications. This is not quite a full restoration because a few bits of the car are still original but we are pleased with the results.
