1974 Alfa Romeo GTV2000

This 1974 Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 has received a complete mechanical restoration from DV Mechanics in late 2019 and has since only been driven about 500 miles. The exterior of the car is all original still wearing it’s factory sprayed Dutch Blue paint and the car has never been restored, hence the patina. The car comes complete with a binder with every single record back to when the car was purchased new in California in 1974-including the original window sticker. Being only original once, the current owner commissioned DV Mechanics to perform a full mechanical and interior restoration and leave the exterior mostly alone save for a few minor touch ups. In the past few months the car has received the following:

Full Alfaholics “fast road/race stage 3” suspension with Koni Sport dampers on all 4 corners. This kit adds GTA type adjustable upper control arms, a geometry kit which improves the roll center and dynamic camber gain, an alloy rear T-arm with spherical uniball, and light weight small diameter springs. The kit was carefully installed at our facility paying extra attention to the fit and smoothness of all the components. It was then carefully aligned with our alignment equipment and the outcome is a wonderful balance of street comfort and canyon performance. 14x6 Cromodora replica wheels with Pirelli CN36 tires finish off the suspension.

DV-Mechanics “stage 2.5” engine build consisting of a full engine overhaul utilizing the Alfaholics stage 2 engine parts and our custom ported/polished cylinder head. The entire engine was blueprinted and carefully set up in our engine clean room. The engine is fed by a pair of Weber DCOE 40 carburetors breathing into a European Alfa Carburetor intake manifold which was carefully port matched to the cylinder head. This engine spec required deleting of the factory “SPICA” fuel injection and when we performed the conversion it was done thoroughly with a beautifully mounted Facet fuel pump and Filter King regulator/filter assembly in the engine bay along with the correct factory linkages and hardware. An Alfaholics full SS exhaust system was installed to give the car a wonderful exhaust note. The power package gives you a great amount of power with a playful characteristic.

The interior was completely restored with re-upholstered seats, fresh headliner, new carpet, new veneer, all new door panels and all the rubber trim associated. The car is currently in cue at DV Mechanics for a full 1K mile post restoration check up and detailing and then it will be available for sale. Car has a clean California title and wears it’s original California blue license plates. This car has had more than 30K in service and upgrades in the past year, asking price is 60K.
